Trollcake Variety Show Podcast + Script
This is a proposed podcast Trollcake Variety Show test made in 2014. It was mostly an experiment to showcase my voice acting skills. We ended up dropping the idea but it still lives on for your enjoyment.
Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
The song features her soft, lovable voice singing, while she plays gorgeous acoustic guitar chords.
Her brothers and I love the song so much we decided to secretly make a music video for it, starring Emili as a cartoon character.
Kelvin sketched out these three character drawings.
TJ & I will be working on storyboarding, then painting backgrounds and then animation.

I had never been very close with my own mother growing up. When I lost her to cancer at the tender age of 8, I had always wished that we had more time. Since the day I saw the double lines on my pregnancy strip appear, I imagined taking my child on special dates – just the two of us. Then I found out my little nugget was a girl. I cried. I could feel my mom with us right there.
I would honour her and do what she wasn’t able to. To whisk my little girl away from school in the afternoon and take her out for a special surprise treat to the fancy baker’s downtown. We’d sip herbal teas and clink our teacups after the many practice sessions I received in the playroom. Walking through the high tea room hand-in-hand, I gulped the lump in my throat and smiled. I knew my mother was sharing this moment with us.More
My four best girlfriends and I keep a monthly afternoon coffee and cakes date. When it was my turn to host, I had forgotten to reschedule two appointments to leave time for cooking and cleaning. Then I remembered my Grandmother’s homemade fruit cakes that, from prep to decorations, were a total of 25 minutes!
Of course, we fancied up her classic recipe and put a little decorative gusto into it, but the little ones had fun helping me top them, and my ladies all exclaimed at how beautiful and pretty they had turned out.More

As the winter’s cold gives way to a gentler spring, pamper and prime yourself to slaw off the winter blues for good, and welcome in the mild and sunny weather. Taking care of your skin is almost as important as taking care of your mental health.
Gently exfoliate away the beating of the winter with a little yoga session or mindful meditation. Take in some quiet time, sip on a clarifying tea, and reintroduce the joy and good vibes of the spring you’ve been missing all these months.
During my post-University days, working as an intern at Vogue, job-hunting on the side – I learned to keep up with the fashion elite, while being financially savvy. No lipstick, perfume, dress is worth forking over tons in interest fees to your credit card of choice.
How did I do it? It wasn’t easy – but over time I accumulated tips on finding the best deals, including when to buy and where. Trust me – you can have your cake, and leave your fat wallet too! Let’s start with the basics.More
